Hi, I’m Jasper Van Zeir (aka Z3r0D4yJ), a cybersecurity enthusiast from Belgium with a strong interest in ethical hacking and offensive security.
I started my Applied Computer Science bachelor at HOGENT in 2023, where I chose the Full Stack Development track to first understand how modern applications are designed, built, and deployed before focusing on attacking and securing them. Through this program I gained experience with technologies such as Java, C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, MySQL, React, and TailwindCSS.
Alongside my studies, I serve as a Sergeant in the Belgian Armed Forces, working within IT at Defence, where I gain practical technical experience while developing discipline and responsibility.
In September 2026, I will start a second bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity at HOWEST, where I will fully focus on offensive security and penetration testing.
Outside of school and work, I actively develop my skills through CTF challenges and security labs on platforms like Hack The Box and TryHackMe, with a particular interest in web security.
This GitBook documents my CTF write-ups, notes, and learning journey as I work toward becoming a Red Team specialist / penetration tester, with the long-term goal of contributing to Belgian Defence Cyber Command.
